Schedule: 12-hour casual shifts (days, overnights, weekends, and holidays)
Site Overview
In this role, you will support client facilities across the Cardston region, maintaining a welcoming, safe, and secure environment for community members, staff, and visitors. Our sites rely on practical safety protocols and active, approachable customer service to ensure daily operations run smoothly.
What You'll Be Doing
Conduct regular interior and exterior foot patrols to maintain a visible and reassuring security presence.
Greet visitors, answer basic inquiries, and assist with site access control.
Identify safety hazards, unauthorized access, or policy violations and address them promptly.
De-escalate conflict and assist individuals in distress using professional communication.
Respond to alarms and emergency calls, liaising with emergency services when required.
Complete concise, accurate incident reports and maintain routine daily logs.
Must Haves
Legal authorization to work in Canada.
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Alberta Security License.
Physical ability to perform active foot patrols (walking up to 18–20 km per shift) and climb stairs regularly.
Flexibility to work casual shifts including days, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong spoken and written English skills for customer interactions and reporting.
A calm, practical approach to solving problems under pressure.
Nice-to-Haves
Valid Standard First Aid / CPR Certification.
Previous experience in security, customer service, hospitality, or public-facing roles.
Familiarity with basic report writing or daily logging procedures.
