Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour

Overview

We are currently seeking a Class A Driver to join our Ground Support Team, providing fuel transport, rigging, and logistical support for helicopter operations. This role offers travel opportunities and a unique look into the aviation industry.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate tank vehicles and haul trailers in varied conditions, including:

    • City and heavy traffic

    • Mountain roads

    • Snow and off-road terrain

  • Provide fueling and ground support for helicopter operations

  • Perform basic vehicle and equipment maintenance

  • Work long local days and travel out of area for extended periods (up to 3 weeks)

  • Follow directions and complete tasks with limited supervision

  • Utilize GPS navigation and mobile technology for routing and communication

  • Work safely around helicopters, trucks, and heavy equipment

Requirements

  • Class A or Class C CDL with Tank and Hazmat endorsements

  • Clean DMV driving record

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Ability to pass pre-employment DOT drug test and random testing

  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs regularly

  • Physically able to get up and down repeatedly while working under trucks/helicopters

  • Strong sense of direction and willingness to learn GPS navigation

  • Basic proficiency with mobile devices and technology

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams and customers

  • Driving experience: 1 year (preferred)

Nice to Have (Not Required):

  • Shop or mechanical experience

  • Small machinery or field environment experience

  • Trailer hauling experience

⚠️ Note: Candidates without required licensure may still be considered if they meet other qualifications. PJ Helicopters may sponsor the right candidate through the CDL and Hazmat certification process.
