The Extraction Specialist is responsible for performing closed-loop hydrocarbon extractions while maintaining high quality standards as set by the Lab Manager. Lab Technicians responsible for operating within the Maine Office of Cannabis Policy strict guidelines for compliance testing on the product during all phases of lab work.
Responsibilities:
- Works with Lab Manager and other extraction specialist(s) on overall scheduling and planning for finished products.
- Maintain inventory of extraction solvents and filtration media.
- Accurately document all extractions, and properly/accurately log extractions into state mandated track and trace software (METRC).
- Maintaining brand standards and supporting the goals of the Lab Manager and leadership
- Basic Metrc knowledge
- Able to perform maintenance on closed loop system.
- Knowledge of operating hydrocarbon closed loop system preferred
- Report any findings immediately to management.
- Maintain work areas at a high level of cleanliness, clean, organize and sanitize lab equipment daily, weekly as determined by the Lab Manager.
- Following strict SOP’s, regulations and company guidelines for all compliance, workflows and safety matters.
- Assist Lab Technicians when requested
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Intermediate knowledge of Metrc preferred.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must obtain and maintain the Maine Office of Cannabis Policy Individual Identification Card (IIC).
- Physical demands – May be required to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (200 pounds with assistance)
- Prior Laboratory experience.
- Prior Cannabis Lab / Manufacturing experience
