Overview

Ace Handyman Services North Seattle is looking for a skilled Handyman who takes pride in quality work and outstanding customer service. We provide customers, scheduling, administrative support, and a steady flow of work so you can focus on delivering excellent service and craftsmanship.

This position is for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well with customers, and wants to become the kind of craftsman who can be trusted to manage jobs professionally from start to finish with minimal supervision.

We provide the customers, scheduling, systems, and administrative support. You bring the skill, drive, professionalism, and ownership. Strong performers who prove their craftsmanship, reliability, customer service, and ability to work independently will have a clear path to Craftsman-level pay and responsibility.

Schedule

This is intended to be a full-time position with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule. Work availability varies based on seasonality, customer demand, business needs, and individual performance.

There are no weekends and no on-call requirements.

We provide the customers, scheduling, administrative support, and systems so you can focus on delivering quality work and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential repairs, maintenance, and light remodeling, primarily including carpentry, drywall, painting, and general handyman work

• Evaluate each job on-site and communicate clearly with the customer about scope, timing, materials, and any concerns

• Take ownership of the customer experience from arrival through completion

• Call customers the night before each job to confirm details and make sure you are prepared

• Use a tablet for scheduling, job notes, photos, and reporting

• Keep job sites clean, safe, and professional

• Represent Ace Handyman Services with strong customer service, professionalism, and quality workmanship

• Follow each job through to completion with minimal supervision

• Ask questions when needed, communicate issues early, and take pride in doing the job right

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States

• Valid driver’s license

• Reliable, registered, and insured work vehicle capable of carrying tools and materials

• Full set of standard handyman tools

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in carpentry, drywall, painting, and general home repair

• Strong customer communication skills

• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently

• Comfortable using tablets and basic digital job tools

• Organized, professional, and willing to learn

• Takes pride in showing up prepared, solving problems, and delivering a great customer experience

Growth & Evaluation

Performance and compensation are reviewed periodically based on craftsmanship, reliability, customer satisfaction, job documentation, and ability to work independently.

Strong performers will have a clear path to promotion into a Craftsman-level role with higher pay and responsibility.

Physical Requirements: This is a physically active field position. Essential functions regularly include standing and walking; bending, stooping, kneeling and squatting; climbing stairs and ladders; reaching and working overhead; operating hand and power tools; and lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling tools and building materials. Handymen must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
