What You Will Do
Your main priority is maintaining a visible, protective presence while delivering excellent service and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Manage access control at site entrances and exits, inspecting credentials and investigating irregularities.
Conduct active foot patrols, inspecting doors, emergency exits, hazardous materials, and mechanical systems for safety risks.
Monitor patient safety in healthcare settings, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to nursing staff or protective services.
Monitor camera feeds, property, and ongoing activities to identify potential risks early.
Respond calmly and decisively to alarms, emergency calls, and security incidents.
Write clear, accurate incident reports and maintain accurate daily shift logs.
What You Bring
Must-Have Qualifications
Valid Alberta Security License.
Legally authorized to work in Canada.
At least 6 months of security guard experience in Canada.
Full availability to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends (7 days a week).
Physical stamina to walk 18–20 km per shift and navigate stairs repeatedly.
Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to write clear reports and log routine events.
Proven ability to remain composed, exercise discretion, and make sound decisions under pressure.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Valid Class 5 Advanced Driver's License.
