Staging Technician
Apply to JobRole Overview
Every successful technology deployment starts with preparation. As a Staging Technician, you will be the critical link that ensures our customers' point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail technology function flawlessly the moment they arrive on-site. Operating out of our staging facility, you will unbox, configure, load custom software, network, and test hardware before repacking it for shipment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, possesses strong troubleshooting skills, and takes pride in precision. You will have the opportunity to gain manufacturer certifications, work with diverse retail and POS systems, and build a strong foundation for a long-term technical career in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
What Success Looks Like
In your day-to-day work, you will focus on accuracy, efficiency, and quality control. Your daily and long-term success will be defined by your ability to:
- Configure with Precision: Load custom operating systems, application software, and specific customer databases onto POS terminals and peripheral devices according to detailed configuration sheets.
- Test and Troubleshoot: Establish and verify communication between POS terminals and peripheral hardware. You will identify software patches or configuration errors, resolve issues quickly, and ensure everything works seamlessly together.
- Manage Quality Control: Register completed systems on vendor websites, document your work, and carefully repackage the equipment so it arrives at the customer site safely and ready to install.
- Grow Your Expertise: Complete training and earn certifications on the various hardware and software systems we support, expanding your technical capabilities over time.
