Start your new career as a First Shift TIG Welder with MAU at Samsung in Newberry, SC. As a First Shift TIG Welder, you'll read blueprints, lay out and fabricate parts, and TIG-weld components to help your team meet daily and weekly production goals. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

What We Offer:
  • Pay of $21.55 per hour
  • 1st Shift | 7:00 AM - 3:40 PM | Monday - Friday
  • No weekends
  • Overtime opportunities, with some overtime required
  • Temp-to-hire opportunity after 520 hours, based on attendance, performance, and client needs

What We're Looking For:
  • Welding certification
  • At least 3 years of fabrication experience
  • High school diploma
  • Proficiency in TIG welding techniques
  • Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
  • Ability to use fabrication tools, such as drills, saws, and brakes
  • Detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs frequently and stand for 8+ hours per day
  • Preferred: Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Preferred: Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices
  • Preferred: Strong communication and teamwork skills
What You'll Do as a First Shift TIG Welder:
  • TIG weld a variety of materials and thicknesses
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and fabrication drawings
  • Lay out, cut, drill, machine, and bend materials to specifications
  • Build and assemble components and products to meet daily and weekly production goals
  • Run quality checks to make sure every product meets high standards
  • Work with your team and supervisors to keep the workflow running smoothly
  • Keep your work area clean, safe, and organized
  • Take constructive feedback and put it to work with a positive attitude
