Water Technician – Cannabis Facility
Location: Padero, CA
Position Summary
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Irrigation associate is responsible for the daily watering of all plants in propagation area.
JOB DUTIES
• Taking a daily sample of water from the tank and measure pH readings
• Possible Hand watering all areas.
• Checking plant scales and calibrate when needed.
• Helping which valves or set up when switching crops or strategies
• Weekly or daily checks on filter, collection buckets, and sensor boxes.
• Assisting the grower and assistant grower with daily tasks or special tasks
• Verify that all plants are labeled and properly pinched
• Use required PPE per OSHA regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be 21+ years old
• Flexible availability for work hours
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude
• Must able to maintain a precise record
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
• This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week
• Willingness to work weekends
• Must be able to understand and create maps
MENTAL/ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to work in conditions typically found in a greenhouse with high humidity and varying
temperatures, with a fair amount of moisture present
• Ability to exert up to 15-50 pounds occasionally in order to lift and move product
• Ability to balance, reach grasp while climbing on a step stool and/ or ladder
• Ability to crouch, grasp and lift product above shoulders in order to lift product from the floor
properly
• Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time as job duties require
• Ability to use required tools to perform job duties
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• At least 1-2 years of experience in greenhouse environment
• Basic knowledge of propagation
