Lead Plumbing Installer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Lead Plumbing Installer to run installation projects on-site. In this role, you will be the go-to technical expert on the ground, ensuring our plumbing installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. What Success Looks Like

On a daily basis, you will lead installation projects at residential and commercial sites across San Diego. You will oversee the layout, assembly, and installation of various plumbing systems, making sure all work meets local plumbing codes and our company quality standards. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for clients on-site, explaining the scope of work and ensuring they have an excellent service experience.

Over time, success in this role means building a reputation for flawless installations, mentoring apprentice plumbers to help them develop their skills, and helping our San Diego branch maintain its high standards of customer satisfaction and operational safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute plumbing installation projects from start to finish, including repipes, water heaters, sewer lines, and fixture installations.
• Supervise on-site helpers and apprentice plumbers, providing clear direction and quality checks throughout the workday.
• Ensure all completed work complies with current plumbing codes and safety regulations.
• Review project scopes, material lists, and layouts to ensure jobs are set up for success before work begins.
• Interact professionally with homeowners and commercial clients, answering questions and addressing any concerns on-site.

Position Requirements

Must-Haves:

• Extensive, hands-on experience in residential or commercial plumbing installation.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience guiding apprentice plumbers or managing a job site.
• Deep, practical knowledge of plumbing systems, installation methods, and local plumbing codes.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.

Nice-to-Haves:

• An active plumbing license or relevant trade school certifications.
• Experience with specialized tools or advanced trenchless technologies.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience.
