Overview

Join the SMX team at Flex-N-Gate, a leading manufacturer in the Effingham area. As an Assembly Manufacturing Operator, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality automotive components. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that keeps production moving and ensures our customers receive the parts they need on time.

Compensation and Shifts

1st Shift: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm | $20/hour
2nd Shift: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm | $21/hour
3rd Shift: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am | $21/hour

What Success Looks Like

Your daily focus is on accuracy, safety, and efficiency. You will be responsible for manually assembling components using both hand and power tools, ensuring every piece meets our quality standards. You will also be responsible for inspecting finished parts, packing them correctly, and ensuring your workspace remains clean and organized.

Over time, you will become an expert in our assembly processes, consistently meeting production rates and helping the team hit daily targets. You will grow to be a reliable point of contact for quality checks and a key contributor to maintaining a safe, productive factory environment.

Eligibility to apply with Flex-N-Gate is based on specific criteria including completion of 480 hours worked with Staff Management | SMX. You may inquire with a Staff Management | SMX Account Manager for details.

Requirements

Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting/carrying up to 30 lbs.
Ability to use hand and power tools for manual assembly.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot defects and ensure parts meet specifications.
Basic math skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Basic computer literacy, with the willingness to learn our internal systems.
Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict production deadlines.
Flexibility to work overtime when required to meet manufacturing demands.

Bonus Qualifications

Prior experience working in a factory, warehouse, or manufacturing setting.
Proven success working as part of a collaborative, goal-oriented team.
