Overview

As a Production Associate at SMX, you are at the heart of our manufacturing operation. You will work directly on our production lines to build the interior and exterior components—such as instrument panels and doors—that eventually reach vehicles on the road. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who enjoys structured, detail-oriented work, values safety, and wants to play a tangible part in the automotive supply chain.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means keeping the production line moving safely and ensuring every part meets our quality standards. You will be responsible for the consistent output of high-quality components through steady, reliable work.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and set up machinery to ensure the correct parts are produced.
  • Use hand tools to perform fastening, trimming, and assembly tasks on automotive components.
  • Inspect finished parts for defects or inconsistencies and report issues immediately to maintain high quality.
  • Resolve minor machine faults and perform basic preventive maintenance to keep production flowing.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols at all times.
  • Rotate between different stations or departments to support changing production needs.

Over Time

As you settle into the role, you will gain a deep understanding of our assembly processes. You will become a go-to team member for troubleshooting technical issues, improving line efficiency, and training newer associates on safety and quality benchmarks.
