As a Budtender, you will play a key role in creating positive customer experiences through product education and personalized service.
Requirements / Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service
- Educate customers on various cannabis products including flower, edibles, concentrates, and topicals
- Understand product effects, uses, and legal regulations to assist customers in making informed choices
- Maintain compliance with all state and local cannabis laws and company policies
- Handle sales transactions accurately and responsibly
- Keep the retail environment clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Respond to customer inquiries both in-person and via phone or digital channels
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and ensure smooth store operations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail or customer service, preferably in the cannabis industry
- Strong knowledge of cannabis strains, consumption methods, and product categories
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with an ability to handle cash and complete point-of-sale transactions accurately
- Ability to follow strict regulatory and compliance guidelines
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification related to cannabis is a plus
Job Details / Duties
- Assist customers by answering questions and providing personalized product recommendations
- Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with age and purchase limits
- Process customer transactions using a POS system
- Maintain product displays and inventory levels on the sales floor
- Participate in ongoing product training and stay updated on industry trends
- Identify customer needs and upsell appropriate products to enhance their experience
- Support store opening and closing procedures as needed
