Location: Jacksonville, FL (11700 San Jose Blvd, Suite 12)
Schedule: Part-Time
Pay Rate: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour (estimated market rate)

The Cashier Associate plays a critical role in increasing customer confidence and loyalty by delivering accurate, fast, and courteous checkout service while maintaining financial responsibility within their assigned service lane.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous attention to customer needs; greet, assist, and thank customers promptly, courteously, and professionally.

  • Listen to customer concerns and appropriately escalate issues to management with a positive attitude.

  • Manage checkout lane according to company service standards.

  • Inform customers of specials and promotions as directed by store management.

  • Accurately record sales using the scanning system; operate cashiering equipment efficiently and correctly handle all forms of payment.

  • Provide accurate change when appropriate.

  • Stock and restock front-end products and supplies efficiently to minimize waste and control costs.

  • Return discarded or returned merchandise to proper locations.

  • Return shopping carts to designated corrals.

  • Assist in training new cashiers as needed.

  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free work area; report faulty equipment or safety concerns to management.

  • Report associate theft, shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property damage, or policy violations to management.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements (Must Have)

  • Meet legal and company policy age requirements to perform job functions.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.

  • Ability to understand and follow English instructions.

  • Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain authorization.

  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
