Start your new career as a Cook with MAU in Anderson, SC. As a Cook, you will support daily food service operations in a healthcare facility by preparing meals and ensuring dietary compliance for patients. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.
What We Offer:
- Pay of $16.00 per hour

- Eligibility for permanent hire after 520 hours worked
- Rotating Shifts | 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, and 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Every other weekend schedule | 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Supportive team environment
- Previous cooking experience (healthcare or institutional preferred)
- Understanding of special diets (cardiac, diabetic, renal) is a plus
- Flexible and dependable with the ability to work variable shifts
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift 26–50 lbs as needed
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
- No formal education required
- Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes
- Follow dietary guidelines for patient-specific meal preparation
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times
- Assist with meal service, including special dietary needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
