If you bring strong communication skills, empathy, and a composed presence, this role offers a fulfilling path within the security field. You will receive around-the-clock support from dedicated managers, ongoing training, and a structured schedule designed to give you predictable time off.
Compensation and Schedule
Pay Rate: $21.17 per hour
Schedule: Full-time 7-on, 7-off rotation, alternating between day and night shifts (1 week of days, 1 week off, 1 week of nights, 1 week off).
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means balancing vigilant safety enforcement with compassionate customer service in dynamic, occasionally high-stress healthcare environments.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
Provide direct observation and patient watch support to ensure patient safety, documenting and reporting incidents clearly.
Manage access control at facility entrances, exits, and restricted clinical areas.
Patrol hospital grounds and hallways to identify safety hazards, mechanical issues, or security breaches.
Respond calmly and quickly to emergency alarms, calls for assistance, and potential conflict situations.
De-escalate stressful interactions using clear, professional verbal communication.
Write detailed, accurate incident reports and maintain clear daily logs.
Assist patients, visitors, and hospital staff with helpful, approachable customer service.
Long-term impact: Over time, you will develop strong collaborative relationships with hospital medical staff, master healthcare de-escalation protocols, and serve as a dependable, reassuring presence that allows healthcare teams to focus entirely on patient care.
