What Success Looks Like
In this role, you will be the face of our company in customers' homes. Success is defined by your reliability, quality of work, and clear communication.
Day-to-Day
- Arrive on time to scheduled jobs with the right tools and a professional attitude.
- Complete 1 to 3 small-to-medium home repair and improvement projects per day.
- Evaluate projects on-site, explain the repair process to homeowners, and clean up thoroughly once finished.
- Document completed work and coordinate with the office team on next steps.
Over Time
- Build trust and rapport with repeat customers who specifically request you for their next projects.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings through consistent, high-quality work.
- Work efficiently to complete projects within estimated timeframes while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform rough and finish carpentry, including installing doors, trim, molding, shelving, and framing repairs.
- Evaluate, patch, hang, and repair drywall.
- Complete general home maintenance tasks, light assembly, and minor home modifications.
- Maintain open, respectful communication with both customers and the office dispatch team.
Requirements
We keep our requirements straightforward. To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Proven professional experience in carpentry (both rough and finish).
- A strong, reliable work ethic and a desire to work steady full-time hours.
- Your own standard hand and power tools fit for residential remodeling and repair.
- A valid driver's license and a reliable, work-appropriate vehicle to travel to job sites.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
These skills are not required, but they will help you stand out:
- Strong proficiency in drywall mudding, taping, and texturing.
- Basic knowledge of other home trades, such as minor plumbing, electrical, or tiling.
- Experience using smartphone apps for scheduling and job tracking.
