Overview

Job Description

This is not a back-office role that quietly processes past due accounts. This is a leadership seat at the table.

We’re looking for someone who understands that credit and collections is about protecting cash flow, yes, but also about smart decision-making, risk balance, and strong relationships. Someone who can see the story behind the numbers, build a team that performs with integrity, and create structure where it matters most.

What This Role Really Is

You’ll lead the strategy and day-to-day execution of our credit and collections function across both consumer and commercial portfolios. That means setting the tone, establishing standards, and making thoughtful decisions that protect the business while maintaining professionalism with customers and partners.

You’ll guide portfolio segmentation, shape credit approval practices, and drive performance across delinquency, recovery, and asset protection. You won’t just report on metrics. You’ll improve them.

This role also owns complex account resolution. Escalations, negotiations, settlements, agency placements. You’ll have the authority to make decisions and the accountability to stand behind them.

Leadership Matters Here

You’ll build and develop a team of collection professionals who deliver consistent, compliant, and ethical results. Clear expectations. Real coaching. Performance accountability. Ongoing training in negotiation, compliance, and communication.

You’ll create structure around daily, weekly, and monthly performance reviews so your team always knows where they stand and where they’re headed.

Strategic Impact

You’ll partner closely with Finance, Sales, Intake, and Accounting to improve reporting accuracy, forecasting, and reserve management. Your insights will help strengthen fraud prevention and portfolio controls upstream.

You’ll also oversee third-party agencies and legal recovery partners, holding them accountable for performance while maintaining clear compliance standards and audit-ready documentation.

What You Bring

You likely have 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in credit, collections, or financial risk management. You’re comfortable reading financial documentation and navigating complex account issues. You’re analytical but practical. Decisive but thoughtful.

Most importantly, you’ve led people before and know how to build a team that performs with discipline and professionalism.

A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is helpful, but strong experience and demonstrated leadership matter just as much.

Why This Is a Strong Opportunity

This role offers real influence. You will shape credit strategy, protect revenue, strengthen operational discipline, and develop talent in a function that directly impacts financial performance.

If you’re looking for a role where your leadership drives measurable outcomes and your judgment truly matters, this is it.
