What You'll Do (Success Looks Like)

As a Middle School Teacher, your days will be dynamic and rewarding. You will be successful by:

• Engaging Students: Designing and delivering lessons that captivate middle schoolers, making subjects relevant and exciting. You'll encourage active participation, foster a collaborative classroom environment, and adapt your teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles.
• Fostering Growth: Guiding students through challenging academic concepts while also supporting their social and emotional development. You'll help them build problem-solving skills, resilience, and a sense of responsibility.
• Building Community: Cultivating strong, positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You'll communicate regularly about student progress, participate in school events, and contribute to a supportive school culture.
• Managing Your Classroom: Creating a structured yet flexible learning space where students feel safe, respected, and motivated to learn. You'll manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting self-discipline and mutual respect.
• Curriculum Development: Collaborating with colleagues to refine and enhance our middle school curriculum, ensuring it remains challenging, engaging, and aligned with educational best practices.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• A 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• A genuine enthusiasm for working with middle school-aged children and helping them navigate this formative period.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• The ability to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with or a background in Montessori education principles.
• Previous experience teaching middle school students.
