Part-Time Craftsman

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled, multi-talented Craftsman to join our team on a flexible, part-time basis. In this role, you will help homeowners and local businesses throughout the Minnetonka and Lake Minnetonka area with their repair, maintenance, and small remodeling projects.

If you want the independence of working in the field without the stress of bidding on jobs, chasing down payments, or managing marketing, this role is built for you. We find and schedule the clients for you, provide a W2 position with consistent pay, and leave your evenings and weekends free for family, hobbies, and personal time.

What Success Looks Like

On a day-to-day basis, you will travel directly from your home to scheduled job sites in your own reliable truck or van. You will review the scope of work, explain the process to the customer, and complete the repairs using your own standard set of tools. Jobs can range from hanging a door or repairing drywall to patching a deck or tiling a backsplash.

Over time, success in this role means building trust within the community. Our top craftsmen regularly earn repeat business and are requested by name by homeowners who appreciate their punctuality, clear communication, and high-quality work.

What You Bring (Must-Haves)

• A proven track record as a multi-skilled craftsman or carpenter.
• Practical skills in at least two of the following: carpentry, painting, drywall repair, texturing, decking, siding, fencing, or tiling.
• Your own standard set of hand and power tools to perform the trades listed above.
• A reliable truck or van in good working condition.
• A current, valid driver's license.
• Residency within 20 miles of Minnetonka, MN.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• A neat, professional appearance and respectful demeanor when interacting with clients.
• The ability to complete basic digital documentation and invoicing on a smartphone.
• Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screen.

Nice-to-Haves

• Ability to perform minor, non-licensed electrical and plumbing tasks (such as replacing light fixtures, outlets, or faucets).
• Experience estimating job costs and timelines.
• Prior home inspection experience.
