Role Overview

At Classet, we are building the modern infrastructure for the skilled trades. As we expand our platform's capabilities to support advanced manufacturing and aerospace sectors, we are seeking an analytical mind to bridge the gap between high-level systems engineering and workforce development. Based in our Houston office, this role exists to apply complex systems thinking, physics-based modeling, and advanced mathematical frameworks to our proprietary workforce mapping and training systems.

You will have the unique opportunity to take the rigorous principles of aerospace engineering and apply them to solve one of the nation's most critical challenges: scaling the technical workforce required to keep our country at the frontier of space and industrial technology. If you want to use your deep academic background to make a tangible, real-world impact on how technical talent is developed, this role offers a distinct pathway to do so.

What Success Looks Like

In your day-to-day work, you will:

  • Translate complex aerospace workflows and technical requirements into structured skill taxonomies.
  • Develop and test mathematical models that predict training progression and skill acquisition timelines for high-precision technical roles.
  • Collaborate with our product and software engineering teams to integrate these systems-engineering models into our core platform.
  • Analyze local industrial and aerospace labor data in the Houston metropolitan area to identify training bottlenecks.

Over time, you will establish a standardized framework that allows aerospace employers to seamlessly identify, train, and deploy technical talent into mission-critical roles, directly impacting the speed and safety of local aerospace initiatives.

What You Bring

Must-have qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or a highly related quantitative field.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of systems engineering principles and complex mathematical modeling.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site at our Houston, TX location.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to translate highly technical scientific concepts for cross-functional team members.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

  • Experience using programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB for data analysis and modeling.
  • Familiarity with the aerospace industry supply chain or technical training programs in Texas.
  • Previous experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced research laboratory or technology environment.

Compensation

This is a full-time position with a compensation rate of $12.00 per hour.
