Title: Healthcare Security Guard
Employment Type: Full-time
Pay Rate: $18.70 - $22.61 per hour
Schedule: Various 12-hour shifts (1st shift, 2nd shift, 3rd shift, weekends)
Overtime Methodology: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Healthcare facilities are fast-paced, high-care environments where safety and empathy go hand in hand. Operating within hospital sites across the Greater Toronto Area, our security team provides a reassuring presence, supporting medical staff and helping ensure a safe, accessible environment for patients and visitors.
What You'll Be Doing
Conduct regular patrols of hospital premises, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, patient care spaces, and restricted zones.
Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and access control points, reporting any security concerns or suspicious activity immediately.
Manage access to restricted areas and ensure hospital security protocols are followed.
Respond promptly and calmly to medical emergencies, fire alarms, security incidents, and evacuations.
Provide direct, compassionate support to patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
Use clear communication and verbal de-escalation techniques to manage challenging or high-stress situations.
Complete clear and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
Work directly with hospital staff, emergency services, and local law enforcement when required.
Must Haves
Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider.
Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) certification (or ability to complete before onboarding).
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to meet healthcare-site immunization and health-screening requirements.
Legal authorization to work in Canada.
Ability to remain calm, professional, and confident during emergencies or high-pressure situations.
Nice-to-Haves
Previous experience as a security guard, particularly in a healthcare, law enforcement, or customer-facing environment.
