Overview

As a Shipping Associate within our Interior/Exterior Division, you will play a critical role in keeping our production and distribution pipelines moving. You will be the engine behind getting raw materials where they need to go and preparing finished products for shipment. Utilizing a forklift and following established safety standards, you will ensure our facility remains organized, efficient, and productive. If you enjoy active, hands-on work where your efforts directly impact daily operations, this role offers a stable path to build your warehouse career.

What Success Looks Like

On a daily basis, success means executing shipping and receiving tasks safely, accurately, and on schedule. You will quickly learn our material flow processes, load and unload shipments without damage, and maintain a highly organized workspace. Over time, you will become a reliable resource on the floor—someone who anticipates material needs, masters our organization standards, and contributes to a zero-accident workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive raw materials and safely put them away on rollers and racks.
  • Operate a forklift safely to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Dump resin as needed and unload returnable containers when time permits.
  • Keep returnable containers palletized, organized, and ready for shipment.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness by cleaning around resin bins and executing daily 2S and 5S organization activities.
  • Work within our standardized framework (utilizing proper machine, materials, method, and manpower) to ensure all work is completed accurately.

What You Bring

Must-Have Requirements

  • Proven experience safely operating a forklift in a warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Ability to pass job-specific tier testing, which includes lifting and carrying between 20 to 100 pounds at various intervals and heights (from floor to overhead).
  • Ability to exert a pull force of 40 pounds or higher.
  • Physical capability to stand and walk for long periods, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and keeping a clean work environment.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness for navigating forklift paths.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Prior experience working in an automotive or industrial shipping department.
  • Familiarity with 5S lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
