Requirements / Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods to designated locations.

  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies during all trips.

  • Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure proper maintenance and safety.

  • Manage delivery schedules and routes to optimize efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate logs of working hours, mileage, and delivery details.

  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status.

  • Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of loads.

Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) appropriate for the type of vehicle operated.

  • Proven experience as a professional truck driver.

  • Strong knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations.

  • Ability to handle long hours on the road and adapt to changing schedules.

  • Good physical condition to manage loading/unloading tasks.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

  • Clean driving record and ability to pass drug and background screenings.

Job Details / Duties

  • Prepare vehicles for trips by conducting inspections and completing necessary paperwork.

  • Plan routes and meet delivery deadlines while adhering to safety standards.

  • Communicate with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues.

  • Ensure cargo is properly secured to prevent damage during transport.

  • Record and report any incidents, vehicle issues, or delays promptly.

  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of assigned vehicle.
