We are looking for a Website Project Manager to run our website build engine. You will own every build from kickoff to launch, hold the quality and profitability bar across a growing queue, and lead a small project management team while you do it.

01  WHO WE ARE

WISE Digital Partners is a fully remote digital marketing agency named to the Inc. 5000 list of America's fastest-growing private companies three years running (2024-2026). We provide digital marketing strategy, technology, and services for growth-ready businesses across professional services (legal, accounting, and adjacent industries) and home services (plumbing, HVAC, and adjacent trades). We work with over 100 clients and are on a path to double revenue over the next two years.

We launched in 2019, are based in San Diego, and have been fully remote since day one. Our leadership team is made up of agency veterans, many of whom have worked together across multiple agencies.

We're rebuilding how websites get made. Our build process takes clients from kickoff to launch in roughly eight weeks, with something new for them to review every week. It runs on AI-assisted workflows we are actively developing rather than just talking about. You would be joining that work in progress, and helping it scale.

02  WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Run the build. Own every website build project from kickoff through launch. Set and hold timelines, lead our weekly build meeting, and make it clear to every department what has to happen this week and who owns it. Know which deadlines can flex and which cannot, and raise risks early enough to keep the ones that cannot on track.

  • Own quality. Be the final layer of internal QA before a client sees anything, working alongside Account Managers who check for client fit. Catch what others miss, including the issue someone marked as fixed that isn't. Serve as an additional set of eyes on copy and design, partnering with our Design Manager and Content Lead to make sure the work fits the brief and the client.

  • Guide clients through review. Record brief video walkthroughs showcasing full site copy and the staging site, and lead the staging and QA effort with clients. Triage their feedback into launch blockers, post-launch fixes, and future work, and help Account Managers handle scope conversations with confidence.

  • Protect profitability. Own the profitability of every build. Track hours against scope, spot scope creep early, and route out-of-scope requests appropriately rather than absorbing them.

  • Lead the PM team. Manage and develop our Assistant Project Manager and Digital Project Manager. Build a real department rhythm, set clear standards, and be the escalation point when something is stuck.

  • Make the system smarter. Keep our work management platform (currently ClickUp) accurate and current. Partner with our Head of Search Strategy & Innovation as a true collaborator on how Claude connects to that platform and to our build workflow. Help us define and track the numbers that show we are improving, like build length and on-time delivery.

THE SHAPE OF THE ROLE

You will start with two direct reports and a queue of 18 website builds across 16 clients, with capacity for two new kickoffs a week. New referral partnerships could push that volume higher, and we want the process ready for it.

Our Account Managers own the client relationship and lead most client communication. You will be introduced to every build client by email, step in on client emails when an AM needs support, and appear on video for copy and staging reviews. Most of your time goes to driving the internal team. You will also help oversee our shorter partial builds (four-week engagements that optimize a client's existing site) through the PM team, stepping in when timelines or quality slip.

Success looks like this: our Director of Operations can step out of the weekly build meeting, or take two weeks off, and every build stays on schedule and on standard. If you prefer to manage projects from a distance and stay out of the details, this is not the seat.

03  WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • At least 5 years of project management experience, with website builds at a digital agency strongly preferred

  • Experience managing, mentoring, or directing other project managers or coordinators

  • A working understanding of how websites get built (WordPress in particular). You do not need to be a developer, but you can tell a launch blocker from a post-launch fix from a new project

  • A track record of running many concurrent projects without letting any of them stall

  • A sharp eye for detail. You catch the typo in the heading, the broken map pin, and the fix that didn't actually land

  • Experience owning project budgets or profitability, including hours against scope

  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication, including comfort presenting work on video

  • Genuine comfort working with AI every day. Claude sits at the core of our build workflow, and you will use it to keep client projects current and your work moving

  • Proficiency with a work management platform such as ClickUp, Asana, or Monday

  • Significant overlap with our Pacific office hours, which are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT

NICE TO HAVE

  • Hands-on ClickUp experience, including templates and automations

  • Experience improving a process with AI, not just using AI tools

  • Work with professional services or home services clients

  • Familiarity with Figma

04  WHAT WE OFFER YOU

Partnerships work both ways. Here is what you would get in return.

  • PTO and benefits (medical, dental, vision) eligibility that begins just after 30 days from your start date, subject to plan terms

  • 401(k) with company matching, subject to plan terms

  • Access to training and coaching to help you thrive

  • The opportunity to work with a world-class digital marketing team

  • A flexible remote schedule outside of required meetings and core collaboration hours

  • Opportunities for advancement and expanded responsibilities

  • The ability to help great businesses across a wide range of industries grow
